Marietta Grammenou is an economist specialized in international relations. She works as a policy officer in the field of digital skills and jobs at the European Commission, Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content & Technology (DG CONNECT). In particular, she is responsible for the “Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs”, on behalf of DG CONNECT. Previously she worked as business development, marketing and corporate social responsibility executive in two photovoltaic manufacturing companies. She has also served as vice-chair of the Sustainability Working Group of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA). Marietta holds a BSc in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business, as well as a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (Washington DC, USA). She is a fellow of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (New York) and the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). She speaks English, French, Greek, Italian and basic Spanish. In addition to her native country, Greece, she has lived for studies or work in Belgium, France, Italy and the USA.
