Edgars Bajaruns

Currently teacher of history, social sciences and physics in Sigulda City Seconday School since 2011. He is alumni of “Mission Possible” – Teach for All network organization. Actively interested in modern technology and innovations for education. To share experience and methodology works as trainer for teachers. One of Microsoft Latvia projects “Gatavi rītdienai” trainers, have been teacher in Samsung Latvia “Skola nākotnei”, E-Twinning and other projects. In school actively uses technology in history and social class teaching process – using tablets, mobile computer lab and 3D printer and other technology. Additionally leads mechatronics club for kids. One of his firm beliefs is that world level innovation is possible in Latvia, but at the same time education system is conservative, therefore it needs more teachers who are ready to become Don Quixote, fight windmills and believe that every child can!
